8.5 mo: My mom's bday and visit

My mom came to visit us this past weekend, and was here to celebrate her birthday! Happy birthday mom. Dad and Lori--we missed you guys. =(

Here are a few of Colin's special 8.5 mo talents:

Drinking from a cup. More than his cup, he loves drinking from our drinking cups, and after he's done, he loves putting his hand in the glass to find the ice cubes. It's all fun and games until someone gets wet! And yes, I made the spam musubi.

Squealing with Jack. Not only does Colin love to play with Jack, but whenver Jack is in the kitchen, Colin will crawl to him and sit on his feet. =)

Letting us put safari hats on him. It's been a sunny summer for us, and this hat has gotten us through some hot days.

Cuddling with mom. With Colin's new talents of crawling, grabbing, and standing, he's quite the explorer. I cherish every moment I can get when he lets me get a squeeze in.

Singing happy birthday to my mom. My mom is not allowing me to post her age on this public site.

Walking in his jogging stroller with my mom. More than anyone, Jack has made the most use out of this stroller. But my mom and I managed to get a couple morning walks in during her trip.

And finally, Colin has just started to pull himself up to standing--and we caught it on camera! Very exciting for us. As you can see, we invested in some foam padding in our living room. The hardwood floors were getting a bit rough for all of Colin's new talents. Enjoy!
