Party time!

Happy Birthday, Nick! Tami sent Nick on a bday scavenger hunt and he ended up at a surprise party at Dave & Busters! (an arcade for grown-ups) Look at that cake!
There were candy center pieces with bags for the kids to make their own goody bags.
Action grab-shot...
 "Say cheese!"
Nick was such a great sport! (I spy brothers holding hands.)
After the eating and festivities, we headed to the arcade. And I'm convinced that this is where many kids start their addiction to gambling.
Kid slot machines...
"We just need more tickets."
"Aunt Jamie, we just need enough tickets so we can get a big yellow banana. We just need a banana." - R & B. After many card swipes later and slot machine pulls, they earned their yellow banana! =)

The after party was at our house. R & B came over for a sleepover! The boys on the top bunk and the girls on the bottom. It only took them 1.5 hours to calm down and fall asleep. =) Just cousins having fun. My highlight was when Colin was trying to outsmart the girls.
Colin: I bet you don't know what 10 + 9 is.
R & B: Yes we do. We are in the 2nd grade. We may be little, but we're not mindless.
Love those two girls!

After R & B went home on Sunday, the boys had some low-key time. Justin cuddled with my iPad in his bed. And Colin forced us all to play Uno with him non-stop.non-stop. non-stop. You get my point. Colin just loves a good card game - takes after his mama. =)
Then the best thing happened. I finally got the courage to make mochi! And it was a huge success. So delicious. Felt like we were in San Francisco eating my mom's homemade stuff. Mmmm, good!

And the cooking marathon continued after the mochi. Black bean chili and Tofu Lasagna for the week. Mmm, good.
Mid-week, we received a package with no message on it. Best surprise ever - an enlarged canvas print of the boys. =) I had to call the company to find out - my sister, Lori, sent it to us!! Best ever. THANK YOU!
