1st Camping Trip

This past weekend, we went down to West Virginia for our white water rafting/camping trip. We had a bit of hesitation about camping with Colin, but ultimately decided to make the trip--and it was worth it. Here are some highlights:

1. We hiked (3 miles) to this lookout & had lunch overlooking the New River Gorge Bridge. Take a look at that view!

2. C'mon, doesn't he look like a camper! Clothes didn't stay clean though. This kid likes dirt, but more than anything, he probably drools a gallon/day.3. With a constant supply of snacks, bottles and entertainment, Colin did very well during the 5-6 hour drive. And if you're thinking, "Gee, doesn't Jack have a truck? Where did Jamie sit?" Yep, I sat in the back seat--cramped quarters, but we had plenty of breaks to stretch.
4. No diaper? We went out to Dirty Ernie's (rib restaurant), and we (jack) forgot to pack a diaper. We improvised, and Colin came back to camp wearing our homemade diaper (baby towel). He didn't seem to mind, and we were all able to finish our dinners. Just wait, it'll happen to you one day. =)
5. Jack turned Colin's bathtub into his own raft. Colin preferred to swim though. Rafting for us was a thrill, as usual.
6. Cousins are great. Cousin Rylee played with Colin, and helped us put him to sleep. Colin loves his cousins, and can't wait to play with his cousins who are on their way! ;) 7. Colin still loves dogs.
