Christmas and New Year's in San Francisco

We arrived in San Francisco on Christmas Eve

Bachan and Jichan were well prepared.

Bachan made crab and spaghetti for Christmas Eve dinner.

Everything was amazing.  Justin missed it though.  Jet lag set in early and he was in bed by 5pm.

Christmas morning was very exciting.  We opened presents right after breakfast.

Justin's favorite gift was a ceramic penguin.

Hi-Bachan gave it to him.  He carried it around for days straight and named it Pengi.  When we got back to Cleveland he even made a bed for it.

Christmas afternoon was all about the Cavs, Warriors game.  The Warriors were ahead the entire game but in the end the better team prevailed.  Go Cavs!!

Christmas dinner was amazing.  Prime rib, baked potatoes and all kinds of extras.

Thanks for cooking, Bachan.

Christmas evening was very relaxing.

Bachan taught the boys how to play poker (And later the boys taught their friends at school.  Oops).

Miko and Terumi came over.  The kids all had a good time playing hide and go seek.  It was a great Christmas.  Thanks for hosting Bachan and Jichan.

The day after Christmas we met up with Billy, Monica, Anthony and Chloe on Mt. Tam.  We did a short hike to the summit and enjoyed the view for a little bit.

The kids enjoyed a little rock climbing.  After the hike we went to lunch in Novato.  It was good to see them again.

While we were in Novato we visited Jamie's friend Kimi and her husband Pete and their new baby Petey.  Colin and Justin had a blast playing with Petey.

Jamie also loved the baby time.

We spent a lot of time in Golden Gate park.  This is the view from the top of Strawberry Hill.

Stow Lake.

We all went and fed the ducks one morning and Jichan rented a pedal boat for us.  The boys and I had a good time chasing ducks around the lake.  Thanks Jichan.

We walked to the Academy of Science one morning.  We took this picture on the way.

We met Duane, Amy, Miko and Terumi there.  It was a great time.

We did lots of hiking while we were there.  This is on Mt. Tam.

Bachan and Colin having a wizards dual.

Sunny day on Mt. Tam.

We climbed Mt. Diablo.

Jamie spotted a mountain lion down the trail.

Or a tree stump.  Haha.

The view from the top was amazing.  It was a really clear day.  We could see all the way to SanFrancisco.

Jamie and Colin did a little side hike.

It was a perfect day and Colin's first time up Mt. Diablo.  Good job Colin.

We did a hike with Matt and Nancy.

It was great to see them again.  And the weather was perfect for a hike and a picnic by the stream'

Jamie and I even took a trip to Big Sur.

This is right on the ocean where the Big Sur river meets the ocean.

Thanks for watching the boys for us Bachan and Jichan.

We took Grandma to lunch one day.  Afterwards we played poker.  The boys took all of her money.

She showed us this picture.  Jichan is 3 years old here.

There was lots of Yummi Mango on this trip.

Jamie's friend Katherine made it over for a visit.

Hi-Bachan treated us all to a seafood dinner at Sabella & La Torre on Fisherman's Wharf.

Everything was amazing.  Thanks Hi-Bachan.

Thanks for everything Bachan and Jichan.  It was a great trip.
